I needed to represent the passage of time, and what better to fill that role than an age-old classic: the candle. This became the perfect motif to lean on, since the album is shrouded in themes of time, love, and inevitable truths. Though it melts the flesh, the hand still holds the burning candle– leaving only remnants of what once was. To me, this speaks to the complexities in the affairs of love.
The design brief demanded: a duotone color palette, front and back covers, two singles based on the original cover, garment designs, and three social graphics.
